Shraddha Kapoor on Saturday revealed her next project titled Chalabz in London. The makers of the film made the announcement via a special video. Shraddha will be seen playing a double role for the first time in the film.
Sharing her excitement, Shraddha said in a statement, “I feel blessed and fortunate that the producers thought of me as a chawab in London. This will be my first dual role and it will definitely be challenging for any actor. Although I have a huge responsibility, I am happy that Bhushan Sir and Ahmed Sir feel that I will be able to overcome it. Also, it is a great opportunity to work with Pankaj sir and a learning experience for me, which has entertained us for so many years. Look forward to this journey. “
Chalbaaz in London will be played by Pankaj Parashar, who also directed the original film starring Sridevi. The video announcing the new version left many indifferent as it had music from the 1989 film “Na jane kaun se se aaya hai” which was playing in the background.
“Shraddha is like magic on screen. I believe she is going to drive away the audience with her dual role. For me, there is no one better than him for a film like Chablabaz in London. I also want to thank Mr. Bhushan Kumar and Mr. Ahmed Khan for trusting my vision and idea. I can’t wait to start work on this project.
Chalabaz in London will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ahmed Khan.
Talking about the project, Kumar said that he “loved the plot and cleverness in the film’s story”. “It is very commercial and modern for the pan India audience,” he said. Ahmed Khan was also praising everyone for his reverence. Explaining why she looked absolutely fit for the film, she expressed, “Shraddha is a brilliant actor and she will play both the characters with equal ease and her comic timing is impeccable. I know how funny Shraddha can be, so she was our obvious choice and when we reached her, she apparently left from there. “
The makers are yet to reveal the full cast and other details, but they said that once the actors are confirmed, they will begin shooting for the film in London.
