Amazon has come a long way from the first Kindle Fire tablet. The Amazon Fire HD 10 is Amazon’s largest tablet with a 10-inch screen size and powerful speakers (and now charges via USB-C). Like its smaller 8-inch sibling, the Fire HD 8, the Tablet Prime is loaded with benefits for customers, making it easy for members to stream and download movies, TV shows and games. Fire tablets do not use the pure version of Android, but instead pull applications from Amazon’s Android-based Fire operating system, and the Amazon App Store. You can still get the application from Google Play, but you’ll have to set up the store yourself – meaning that gaming enthusiasts have access to all their favorite mobile games for an excellent gaming tablet experience.

The Fire HD 8 was updated earlier this year with faster processor, USB-C charging, better Wi-Fi performance, 2GB RAM (up to 1.5GB) and 16GB to 32GB storage in the base model. Its HD screen is faster than the entry-level Fire 7, but it is not as sharp as the iPad display. Still, it’s a good deal at $ 90 and a great deal at $ 55.

The HD8 Plus adds wireless charging and slightly better performance, thanks to 3GB of RAM. It is on sale for $ 75, or $ 20 more.

The Fire HD 8 Plus adds wireless charging and more RAM (3 GB instead of 2 GB), with performance that improves on the standard Fire HD 8. It’s $ 20 more, but is definitely a better deal at $ 75.

Tablets should charge fine on most wireless charging pads.

This child-friendly version of the Fire HD 8 tablet includes a padded case, parental control, a two-year warranty, and a one-year subscription to Kids Plus (formerly known as FreeTime Unlimited), which usually But it costs $ 3 a month and gives it to you. Access to a set of child-friendly materials. It is not really suitable for distance learning, but it is a much more affordable option than giving a small child on a full iPad.

We suggest spending a bit more for the Fire HD 8, which has a faster screen, but the entry-level Fire 7 is $ 40 (at checkout) if you want to save a few bucks. We’ve seen it go down – $ 30 to $ 35 – but $ 40 for this tablet is a decent deal.

It has all of the same features as the HD8 above, but is a childproof version of the smaller, more affordable Amazon Fire 7. You’re getting a 7-inch screen instead of 8, and a less robust processor.
