Armie Hammer drops out of Shotgun Wedding over social media controversy

Hollywood star Armi Hammer pulled out Lionsgate’s upcoming film Shotgun Wedding after the actor allegedly leaked online for messages sent online.

The Call Me By Your Name star was introduced to singer-actor Jennifer Lopez in the film, which was expected to debut later this year.

Hammer found in a controversy on social media that he was held responsible after the circulation of disturbing text messages. The messages have not yet been verified.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Hammer downplayed the “vicious and serious online attacks” against him as a reason for exiting the film.

“I am not responding to these b ****** t claims, but in light of the vicious and spontaneous online attacks against me, I cannot live in good conscience, now shooting my children a film in the Dominican Republic Leave for four months, ”the actor said.

Hammer said he had full support of Lionsgate for his decision.

A studio representative also confirmed that Hammer had left the project, “Given the imminent start date of Shotgun Wedding, Armi has requested to move away from the film, and we support her in her decision.”

Director Pitch is fond of Shotgun Wedding from Perfect Director Jason Moore. The screenplay for the action-comedy is written by New Girl Creator Liz Merriweather and Mark Hammer.

The story is about a couple as they gather their families for a destination wedding that takes the entire party hostage.
