Apple’s ‘Ted Lasso’ is all about relentless optimism – ClearTips

Your enjoyment of “Ted Lasso” – a sports comedy that debuted last year on Apple TV + – will probably depend on how you respond to the Titanic football coach played by Jason Sudikis.

As we discuss the latest episode of the Original Content podcast, the show’s setup is deliberately over-the-top and ridiculous in which Rebecca Walton (Hannah Waddingm) took ownership of the AFC Richmond football (aka soccer) team following a fiery divorce. American football coach Ted Lasso was recruited as its new manager despite his complete ignorance of the game.

Anthony and Jordan found Ted attractive, and he enjoyed the show’s fish-water comedy. Anthony appreciated some more emotional moments later in the season – he’s an easy carry, and “Ted Lasso” certainly made him a little tearful.

However, Darrell had little patience for the character’s blithe Navite, comparing it to Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” with similar cloakiness and he left the show early.

In addition to reviewing the series, we discuss Martin Scorsay’s feelings about the term “content” and we have some exciting news about the podcast: This will be our last episode on ClearTips, as the original content becomes independent !
