Apple Watch Series 6 vs. Series 5

Apple Watch Series 6 vs. Series 5

The Apple Watch Series 5 is a genuine work of art and is well ahead of the competition. But even then there were features that Apple left the table in terms of functionality. Today, Apple has announced plans to put a number of high-profile fitness and design elements in the new version – Apple Watch Series 6. At first glance of the exterior, the new model is similar to its predecessor. However, some upgrade-up lurks within the wrist enhance the improvement that was considered the best product of its style. The new watch now has a blood oxygen sensor and app, new case finish, and a new operating system in watchOS 7. Hardware enhancements include a faster S6 System in Package (SiP) and an updated alt-on altimeter. The exterior, while still the same dimension, is slightly more colorful, hosting new case finishes and bands. The new WatchOS 7 offers additional sought-after features such as sleep tracking, automatic handwashing detection, updated workout genres, and the ability to curate and share the watch face, as well as a new family setup.

Design and performance

Apple Watch 6 design

The Apple Watch would not be an Apple Watch without new design elements, and new buyers would have a head-spinning number of options in both the case and the color and style of the bands available. Look forward to a new blue color with silver, space gray, and gold aluminum cases and a (PRODUCT) RED Apple Watch with a matching band. Stainless steel cases now come in graphite in shiny black with yellow gold. The Apple Watch version is still with us in a natural and space-black titanium.

For any wearer still struggling with the straps of Apple’s watch, there is good news. The three new band styles provide a more comfortable fit without clasps or buckles. The Solo Loop debuts a stretch design in soft silicon. The braided Solo Loop features precise braiding, recycled polyester yarn filaments with silicon thread, giving a stylish, comfortable look and feel. A new shape system provides nine lengths for solo loop styles. A new leather link wraps around the wrist, attaching the other side with flexible fitting magnets. Apple Watch Hermès has Hermès Attelage Single Tour and Slimmer Attelage Double Tour Band in new colors and style.

Together watchOS 7 comes with seven new watch faces – Stripes, Chronograph Pro, GMT and Artist – with the ability to choose and share the new configuration with friends, family and colleagues.

Otherwise, the measurements and design of Series 6 are similar to those of Series 5. The headline feature was always an addition to the on-display that allows the Apple Watch to show continuous time without tapping, like a regular watch. Or raise your wrist. With the Apple Watch 6, the always-enhanced Retina display will be 2.5 times faster than the Apple Watch Series 5, making it easier to watch in strong sunlight. When your wrist is down, you can now access the Notification Center, Control Center and Complications and change faces without waking up the screen.

Health and Fitness-Tracking Features

Apple Watch 6 Fitness

Both Apple Watch models provide excellent fitness and health tracking. But Apple Watch 6 leaps into the future with a new capability: a blood oxygen sensor that measures your blood’s oxygen saturation, or SpO2. It monitors the percentage of oxygen transported by red blood cells to the rest of the body and is an important indicator of health and well-being. The measurements are derived from four clusters of green, four photodiodes with red and infrared LEDs, to measure the face with light that is reflected from the blood and work together with the Blood Oxygen App. All data appears in the health app. but that’s not all. Now you can get measurements for low-range VO2 Max (the maximum oxygen you can use during exercise), sleep tracking, automatic handwashing detection, and new workout types.

The Apple Watch 5 and 6 models automatically recognize multiple exercises and have workout plans for everything from yoga to hiking. All the data is beautifully presented in the Health app on your iPhone. Both Apple Watch models also offer activity reminders to get you into action, if you are too sedentary. If you are under stress they will encourage you to breathe and take a minute. The option of conducting built-in heart rate tracking and electrocardiogram (ECG) is available on both models. WatchOS 6 has brought a period-tracking app called Cycle, a noise app to measure the decibel level of your environment, and a dedicated app store so you can find the best Apple Watch app on your wrist, but these features are extra valuable .
