The film’s official synopsis reads, “Sharad Nerulkar has dedicated his life to becoming an Indian classical music singer, who follows the traditions and discipline of the old masters, his guru and his father. But as the years pass, Sharad begins to wonder if it is possible to achieve the excellence he is striving for. A journey for devotion, passion and complete discovery in contemporary Mumbai. “

Talking about Alphonso Quaron joining his film team, Chaitanya Tamhane said in a statement, “It is a very real and credible honor for me that one of the most recognized and acclaimed filmmakers in the world It is a great thing to be a disciple of one. In some ways, this recognition of Alphons Curon is more meaningful to me than any award or award. Alphonse has been an invaluable friend and guide to the film from a very early stage, and his upcoming board as executive producer is yet another expression of his faith in The Discipline. I also admit to feeling some pressure and a greater responsibility, now Alfonso is putting his name for us and our cooperation! I am also just excited and awakened to one of the leading practitioners of art to become interested in my work, and very generous to the disciple. “
