An FIR has been lodged against actor Vivek Anand Oberoi for not wearing a face-mask in public, despite it being mandatory for all citizens to wear masks as a precaution to control the outbreak of COVID-19.

A police officer at Juhu police station told indianexpress.com, “An FIR has been filed against actor Vivek Oberoi for flouting the government-mandated public health safety regulations, which as a precaution, all citizens face-mask. On Friday, the Santacruz Division of the Mumbai Traffic Police sent an e-challan to Vivek to disguise traffic safety regulations in the city.

Vivek was later taken to Twitter to thank the Mumbai Police for making him realize that security is always the most important.

Oberoi was spotted riding his Harley Davidson bike on February 14. without donating either a helmet or mask. The actor himself shared the video while riding his bike, along with his wife Priyanka Alva Oberoi, in his seat, on social media on Sunday to mark the occasion of Valentines Day.

On the work front, Vivek was last seen in the Hindi film PM Narendra Modi and the Canadian film Rustom in 2019.
