The trailer of Vineet Kumar Singh-Starrer Aadhaar is out. Directed by Suman Ghosh, the social dramedy, which also stars Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra and Raghubir Yadav, is the first person story in Jamua, Jharkhand to get his Aadhaar number. Bankrolled by Jio Studios and Drishyam Films, the film is set for a theatrical release on 5 February.
The trailer reveals that the film deals with the introduction of the Aadhaar card scheme in a village. Vineet’s character has been chosen as the poster boy for this, but he soon falls into the trap of bureaucratic red tape.
Sneakily moving, Aadhaar looks like an entertaining drunkard, with another solid performance by Vineet Kumar Singh.
Talking about the film, Vineet said in a statement, “Aadhaar refers to the journey of a common man from a small village while receiving his Aadhar card while initially being offered. It was such a learning for me and an interesting experience shooting this film, and I am waiting for its release. “
Suman Ghosh, who is making his Hindi film debut with Aadhaar, said, “I am looking forward to Aadhar’s theatrical release. I have been extremely close to the idea of Aadhaar, a wonderful concept. We have used humor to address some aspects that people will definitely relate to. “
Aadhaar premiered at the Basan International Film Festival in October last year. It was set to begin in December, but was pushed due to an epidemic.
